At the Hoop, we use the best of technology, social media, and micro-finance to bring us all together with the communities who make our stuff. We enable everyday people to play a part in some the most important stories on the planet, and in doing so we increase the enjoyment of products that come through our lives every day.

How the Hoop works

"Think pen pal meets investor meets farmers market"

We work with farmers or artisans that supply many of your favorite brands. While hardworking and creative, these entrepreneurs often lack access to financing for a range of small but impactful projects that could improve their businesses and transform their communities.

Here's where you come in: with a small loan you can help their ideas become a reality. You can fund a project directly or enjoy one of our bundles combining deals on a great product and a micro-loan to the people who make it.

You get your money back when the loan is complete, and they are charged 0% interest. Once you're part of a lender community you get updates that tell you how your project is coming along and we'll share discounts we negotiate on your behalf.

We partner with great brands that bring our entrepreneurs' products to market and we earn our revenue through the purchases that you make.
