About this project

We need some funds to start a community seed bank. With this loan, our 30 family farms will plant and manage 35 varieties of native rice species, which are now threatened by the globalized market.

With $2,500, we'll buy a freezer for better seed conservation, pay for coordination costs, purchase seeds boxes and arrange for transport of the seeds.

You might know us from growing Alter Eco's red and white jasmine rices.

Important thing for you to know: Working with Alter Eco and receiving fair prices for our rice has increased the revenue for our farmers and helps protects Thai Rice from biopiracy (GMO replicate).
